Operations Director, Pharmacy Services
Assures appropriate level of understanding, awareness and compliance with all applicable JCAHO, federal, state and agency laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards.
Develops and manages capital and operational budgets in support of strategic plans and goals.
Works collaboratively to develop plans, goals, and implementation strategies in support of Alegent Mission, Vision, and business objectives.
Develops, coordinates, and manages operating systems and operational standardization, service standards, approaches, policies across the Alegent Health System.
Maintains a system of management reporting that provides the system with timely and relevant information on aspects of Pharmacy Services.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Hospital Pharmacy, with at least 2 years of management experience in a health care environment is required.
Educational
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy or a Doctorate in Pharmacy Medicine is required.
Must have a current license as a Pharmacist in Nebraska or Iowa, License must be held in the state you provide services.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must possess strong knowledge of Hospital Pharmacy Services; strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards; strong project management skills; good communication skills; good strategic planning skills; strong change management skills; must demonstrate personal traits of a high level of motivation; team orientation; professionalism; trust; and place a high value on treating others with dignity and respect.
